Hospital Physician Partners Announces Record Growth in 2009

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, March 1, 2010 – Hospital Physician Partners, an industry leader in
Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine management, announced today record growth in 2009 with
the addition of 26 new contracts, including five new contracts resulting from the acquisition of
Southern Medical Partners, L.L.C. in the third quarter of 2009.
Growth in 2009 included new Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine contracts in North
Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Texas and
Kentucky.
This growth helped broaden Hospital Physician Partners strong business base in emergency
department (ED) and Hospitalist in-patient program management and accounted for an
additional 400,000 patients nationally.
