McDowell ARH hospital is a critical access facility within the not-for-profit Appalachian Regional Healthcare system. McDowell ARH Hospital offers most primary and a host of secondary health services which include Emergency Medicine, Laboratory, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Speech and Physical Therapies, Social Services, Outpatient Surgery, Long-term Nursing Care, Intensive Care and Telemetry.

Location Description

McDowell is located in Floyd County, nestled in the Central Appalachian Mountains, two-and-a-half hours east of Lexington. McDowell is a rural community where resident can enjoy an easier pace than the usual hustle and bustle of city living.
