Bunker, Bob
Chairman
Mr. Bunker is a seasoned healthcare business leader with more than 30 years of diverse healthcare experience. Prior to joining Hospital Physician Partners, Mr. Bunker served as Chairman, Omniflight Inc.; Chairman, President & CEO of the Medical Services Company (MSC); Chairman, President and CEO of Aperture Credentialing, Inc; and Chief Operating Officer of Humana Military Healthcare Services and Humana’s nationwide Medicare and Medicaid Programs.
Schillinger, Jeffrey
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Schillinger has been involved in Medical Management administration since 1993. He graduated with a B.S. degree in economics and business from the State University of New York in 1978 and became a licensed certified public accountant in 1980. Prior to entering healthcare he was a division president for Titan Sports (World Wrestling Federation).
Schillinger, David M.D., FACEP
President & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Schillinger has practiced Emergency Medicine since 1986. A graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine he went on to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in 1986. He has authored numerous articles and has co-authored three books on Infectious Diseases in Emergency Medicine. He is a former faculty member at Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine and is currently an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Schillinger is licensed to practice medicine in approximately 10 states and is clinically active with the Company’s accounts.
Pandya, Sunil M.D.
Chief Medical Officer, Hospitalist Division
Dr. Pandya has owned and managed his own hospitalist groups since 2005 providing inpatient coverage for South Florida patients in Collier and Sarasota county. Born in Queens, New York and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Pandya is trained as a biochemical engineer, but went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Medicine of New Jersey. He completed a residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital and remains fully boarded in both specialties. Dr. Pandya is still clinically active every month as a hospitalist throughout Florida.
Norton, LaMon, RN
President, Emergency Department Division
Ms. Norton has been with the company since 2002. She has more than 15 years of hospital management experience, 13 of which have been directly related to the Emergency Department. She is a graduate of Lincoln Land College and the University of Alabama and holds a degree in nursing.
Johnson, Brian, FNP
President, Emergency Department Division
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a degree in Nursing and most recently obtained his certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Tech University. He also is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and brings with him more than 19 years experience in the healthcare industry where he has held positions ranging from CNO, COO to CEO. Most recently he was the Corporate Director of Emergency Medicine for Iasis Healthcare.
Crass, Sarah - Esquire
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Prior to joining Hospital Physician Partners in 2007, Mrs. Crass practiced in both federal and state courts in the areas of complex commercial litigation and civil trial practice as well as assisting companies with general corporate and contractual issues with the law firm of Rogers Towers, P.A. Mrs. Crass is a member of the American Bar Association and the Jacksonville Bar Association and is admitted to the Florida Bar, the New York Bar as well as the New Jersey Bar. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, the United States District Court of New Jersey and the United States District Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Ms. Crass received her Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
Riser, Mark, D.O., PHARM, FACEP
Executive Vice President Medical Affairs
Dr. Riser is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician with 13 years of Emergency Department experience. He graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed residencies at the University of Michigan, University of Tennessee and Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Duke University. He has been a member of the National ACEP Reimbursement Committee where he has co-chaired different subcommittees. Special interests include documentation, coding, and risk management. Dr. Riser has been with the company for 10 years.
Greene, Hinda, D.O.
Senior Vice President Medical Affairs
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Greene went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1984. Dr. Greene is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. In addition to her twenty years of Emergency Medicine practice, Dr. Greene was a Clinical Professor at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1987 to 1991.
Pacos, Andrew M.D.
Vice President Medical Affairs
Dr. Pacos has been with the company since 2004. He is a graduate of SUNY in Buffalo, New York and performed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has 15 years hands-on experience in various Emergency Departments. He was the Medical Director for Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare system in Western New York. He is a licensed instructor in ACLS and PALS.
Poplaw, Barry M.D.
Vice President Medical Affairs
Previously a Medical Director for Hospital Physician Partners, Dr. Poplaw has joined the Hospital Physician Partners family as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Florida. He was residency trained at Beth Israel Medical Center, Manhattan campus of Albert Einstein Medical School in New York City. A seasoned veteran, Dr. Poplaw maintains clinical teaching roles with Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Emergency Medicine residency program as well as many South Florida medical schools. In addition to his experience as Medical Director, Dr. Poplaw has also served as an Associate Chief of Emergency Medicine.
Mathurin, Mark, MD
Vice President Medical Affairs
Dr. Mathurin’s medical undergraduate education was provided by the University of Wisconsin Madison. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Arizona, where he was given the award for Humanism in Medicine. That was followed by a four year stint in the US Air Force, where he was a primary contributor to overhauling the Primary Care system. He also oversaw the operations of the Pediatric, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine clinics at Luke Air Force Base. When he left the Air Force, Dr. Mathurin accepted the position as assistant director at the Wickenburg ED before becoming the Medical Director at Tempe St Luke’s under the EDCare aegis. His role has since expanded with assumption of the Medical Director role at Phoenix St Luke’s as well as Regional VP for the Arizona-Nevada market. He maintains a close working relationship with the CEOs as well as the market division head for Lasis Healthcare.
Kay, Joel, RN
Vice President Clinical Operations
Mr. Kay joined the Company in 2007. He is a graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX, with a degree in Nursing. He has been a practicing Emergency Department nurse for more than 11 years. His responsibilities include process issues, patient flow, hospital operation analysis, documentation compliance, revenue recovery and computer programming and design for Emergency Department information.
Davis, Mark, RN
Regional Vice President Clinical Operations
Mark’s clinical nursing background is diverse and includes years in emergency departments and advanced cardiac care. His dedicated leadership resulted in one of the first cardiac CT programs in the nation. He continues to be active in process and policy development nationally in diagnostic cardiac testing. Mark’s exceptional patient customer service is ongoing, and he continues to develop quick and effective process improvements.
Wagner, Shawn, MMS, PA-C
Regional Vice President Clinical Operations
Shawn joins the Hospital Physician Partners team bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in emergency department medicine. He earned his Masters Degree in Emergency Medicine from Alderson-Broaddus College and is currently an adjunct Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University. Shawn has been in clinical practice for 18 years, 15 of which have been in Emergency Medicine. His interests are PA/NP Practice and Trauma/Critical Care.
Bailey, Benny - J.D.
Regional Vice President Clinical Operations
Benny joined the Hospital Physician Partners family in 2009 after more than a decade with Southern Medical Partners (SMP), an Emergency and Hospitalist management company in southeast Kentucky. Benny helped found SMP which Hospital Physician Partners acquired in July of 2009 . A graduate of the University of Kentucky and the Salmon P. Chase college of Law, Benny has worked in all aspects of Emergency Medicine including recruiting, scheduling, placement, and legal defense. His primary responsibilities with Hospital Physician Partners include partnering with and helping manage the physician relations and hospital administration in the Kentucky and West Virginia areas.
Reinhard, Mark
Regional Vice President Clinical Operations
Mark has been with Hospital Physician Partners for nearly 10 years. In this role he is responsible for Midwest/West based clients and their operational success. Mr. Reinhard has a strong background in accounting, scheduling, and recruiting. Prior to joining Hospital Physician partners, Mark worked as a health care consultant for Harris Health Trends where he provided telephonic health care advice to over 500 client throughout the world. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo. Mark currently resides in Northwest Ohio.
